ARCOPOL Platform, the “Atlantic Technological Platform for oil and HNS spill preparedness, response and mitigation” is a meeting forum for the organizations that develop knowledge, research, and services and/or have competences in this field.
Built on ARCOPOL network, it aims to provide a framework for stakeholders to exchange knowledge, experience and good practices, to identify capabilities, gaps and needs, to define research priorities, and to promote a sustainable collaboration structure for public and private organizations dealing with oil and HNS spills.
ARCOPOL Platform provides a focal point for end users to access relevant information, knowledge and key resources to cope with accidental marine and coastal pollution.
Public and private organization of the Atlantic Area dealing with oil and HNS spills can join ARCOPOL Platform to access resources and information, to give visibility to their capabilities and to interact with key stakeholders.
ARCOPOL Platform is organized in 5 Thematic Working Groups addressing different areas of oil and HNS preparedness, response and mitigation. Those organizations joining ARCOPOL Platform can additionally join the WGs to receive information related to those thematic areas and to participate actively in their associated activities if they were interested in.
