ARCOPOLplatform is working on post-spill monitoring and environmental risk assessment by both taking advantage of all the knowledge generated in previous projects (EROCIPS, ARCOPOL, PREMIAM, ARCOPOLplus) and transferring it to end users. Specifically, in ARCOPOLplatform we are:

• Elaborating principles to develop guidelines for post-spill monitoring in the Atlantic Area;
• Organising workshops and expert groups to discuss and disseminate the developed best practices for post-spill monitoring;
• Disseminating the key concepts of environmental monitoring in a language and format within local authorities and the general public’s understanding.
• Providing advice for environmental cost calculation.
